Business Entrepreneur:

A Business Entrepreneur is someone who creates a new product or service based on their idea ,starts an enterprise to bring that idea to life. This type of entrepreneur often operates at small-scale level. Business entrepreneur can be in trading or manufacturing business. Eg. Sameer Maheshwari of health kart is a classic business entrepreneur—he took a clear idea (online + offline health products), launched a business around it, grew it through dedicated execution and resourcefulness, and transformed it into a major enterprise.

Trading Entrepreneur:

A Trading Entrepreneur specializes in buying and selling finished goods rather than manufacturing them. They act as connectors between manufacturers and consumers—like wholesalers, importers, or retailers. They’re not making the product—they are experts in finding buyers, educating them, and making sure delivery and availability are smooth. Eg. Gautam Adani began with a polymer (plastic) import-export trading business in 1988, buying raw materials and selling them across domestic and international markets.

Industrial Entrepreneur:

Industrial entrepreneur is the one who starts and runs a manufacturing business, producing goods or large-scale services. They combine land, labour, capital, and technology to meet a real market demand. They take on the risks of setting up factories, sourcing materials, and managing production. Their output is often physical goods like vehicles, textiles, electronics, or food products. For example, Munjal and his brothers started with bicycle parts, then set up Hero Cycles .They built a factory to produce bicycles, expanded, and eventually became the world’s largest bicycle maker.

Corporate Entrepreneur:

Corporate entrepreneur is also known as an intrapreneur. This entrepreneur applies entrepreneurial thinking within an existing corporation. He operates like an entrepreneur—generating new ideas, building new products or services—but with the resources and backing of an established company. For example Google’s Gmail: Originated as a side project by Paul Buchheit during Google’s 20% time policy—launched as a major email service and transformed internet communication.

Agricultural Entrepreneur:

An agricultural entrepreneur runs and innovates in farming or related agricultural activities. They cultivate crops or raise livestock using modern methods, machines, or tech solutions. They aim to generate profit while improving sustainability, productivity, or farmer livelihoods. For example Kanwal Singh Chauhan is a progressive farmer who pioneered baby corn cultivation in Sonipat, which was largely imported before 1997.
